Their ethnic roots stem from the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago. They have been married for ten years celebrated in March 2005. This marriage produced a wonderful son, Jawanza, who is steadfastly following in their musical ministry footsteps. The beautiful blended voices of this couple have been pulsating through the ears of audiences for over thirteen (13) years.

Winston and Bernadette Charles are both classically trained singers. Winston is a Bass Baritone and Bernadette is a Lyrical Soprano. Nevertheless, they both transcend their talents to a wide range of musical categories. Throughout the years, they have acquired various merits and awards, one of which was the National Music award obtained by Bernadette in 1987. Winston and Bernadette have both sang with numerous groups, such as Sing His Name Chorale, and Voices of Zion Choir which originates from The First Church of Seventh-day Adventist in Washington D.C. In addition, this couple has performed in Trinidad and Tobago, New York, London-England, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, and numerous locations in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Performances with Wintley Phipps and Clay Cross were the pinnacle of their music ministry. Winston and Bernadette Charles were in concert on November 16th in New York; and Potomac Adventist Bookstore in Silver Spring, MD on Sunday, November 24th 2002, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Their most recent engagement was an exclusive interview with John Blake on WHUR 96.3 FM. They have also been featured on CTV - Channel 76, Fox - Channel 5, and NEWS Channel 9. At their CD-Release Concert on November 2nd, 2002, at the Metropolitan Seventh -day Adventist Church, they collected a special offering for the thirteen (13) year old student victim in the October Sniper attacks. They also conducted a Bone Marrow Drive at their home church, the First Seventh-day Adventist Church in Washington, D.C. in July 2001. As a result, eighty candidates registered.

Bernadette and Winston Charles are both dedicated to GOD from their first duet, More Than Wonderful, to this point in their lives where this wonderful GOD has enabled them to release their CD Take My Life. They have allowed the LORD to "take their lives" and to give them humble spirits to minister to both young and old. This current CD release is a dream come true. GOD still uses ordinary people to do marvelous things for Him.
